

The School of Law shares the century-old history of Korea University(KU). For more than a century, the KU School of Law has been a pioneer in legal education in Korea.
The KU School of Law is the oldest law school in Korea. Its origin can be traced back to the Law Department of Bosung Junior College founded in 1905.
This Law Department was the first private institution in Korea to provide a legal education in the early 20th century when Korea was opening up to the world.
It played an important role in shaping a modern legal education in Korea. The KU School of Law has striven to instill in its students the sense that they should earn the public's trust by acquiring the knowledge and values essential to fulfilling their responsibilities to the society and the country.
The KU School of Law is committed to setting the standard of legal education.
It offers a variety of courses for students, and will continue to meet demands for legal education. Its success as a leading institution for legal education has been proved by the number of bar exam pass: in 2009 bar exam, KU School of Law was ranked No. 1 in the number of bar exam pass. The credit could be attributed to our hard-working students and faculty.
